MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Hello Hurley Families!
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. We hope the first few weeks of school have gone very well for all of your children. Our staff is working tirelessly to provide your children with a rigorous and engaging virtual schooling experience. We will monitor each child's academic progress with frequent assessments and we encourage you to attend parent conferences in September and February so together we can make sure your child progresses academically during this unprecedented school year.
While the office remains closed to the public, we are available to assist you by phone or email throughout the school day. Please contact us at (626) 965-2429. You can email Dr. Alvarez at firstname.lastname@example.org any time.
Below are the schedule and calendar for the school year.
In closing, I'd like to remind all of you of the importance of attendance. It is critical that your child attends school each day at 8 am. In 2019, the California Department of Education's Dashboard recognized Hurley as a green-level school when it comes to chronic absenteeism. This means very few of our students miss 10% of the school year! We want to continue to ensure our students do not miss school and we need your help. Please be sure they log in each day by 8 am and if for some reason, your child needs to miss school, please contact the office and/or communicate with the teacher via Parent Square.
We thank you for your support and have an outstanding 2020-2021 school year.
